The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Internet Data Collection website uses what
is known as a session cookie. When you access our site, this cookie is sent to
your browser and is used to establish and maintain "communication" between your
browser and the BLS web server and tracks your session on the website.
The session cookie does not contain any personally identifying information. The
cookie is transitory and is stored in memory until your web browser is closed.
The companion cookie on the BLS Web Server is destroyed after 30 minutes of inactivity.
